Hi Daniel
Thank you very much for your suggestion. We tried it but it did unfortunately not work. In the
meantime, we also discovered that even if as a member of the same group, I give the
individual new user access rights, it does not have any effect either. The new user (after
update to 14.2) is listed having read, write, etc rights of the calendar on my access rights list.
When I log into his account, I don’t see me listed. Also, logged in as the new user, I can’t
select anybody to have access to his calendar (see attachement).
Please can anyone help us to resolve this or suggest what we should check to find the error?
We really need this functionality urgently and love EGW too much to give up on it!
Gunda
Hi,
may sound weird, but try to change theme for the user there and back. we use stylite and my
user could not access details of projects, but changing theme to pixelegg and back to stylite
helped.

Predmet: [eGroupWare-users] Access rights problem - please help
Hi
Access rights management is critical for us and it does not work for new users created
following the update from 1.8 to 14.2. We just checked again, the group administration is
installed and running. However, new users created after the update cannot access the data
of members of the same group. When signed in as admin, I can see the new user is a
member of the core group and I can also see the name of the groups whose data he can
access when I check his individual access rights (see attachment) However, when I log in as
the new user (sales) and check his access rights, the fields “data from” and “access by” are
empty though there are 2 rows with edit, read, delete, etc marked (see second attachment)
When I go into his calendar, he can’t select anybody elses calendar. Other members of the
same group that have been set up prior to the update, do not experience this problem.
Please, we need your help to give us some pointers what to check to address this issue. This
is a new person working for us and he needs to have access to data of members at least in
his group.
Thank you so much in advance!Gunda
