Hi Sebastian,
Hi!
I got an openbasedir error:
[error] [client 192.168.0.20] PHP Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir
restriction in effect.
File(/var/lib/egroupware/default/files/activesync/debug.txt/device_info_sst)
is not within the allowed path(s): ( … ) in
/var/www/egroupware/activesync/inc/class.activesync_hooks.inc.php on
line 94, referer: https://egw/preferences/index.php
regarding
$domain/files/activesync/debug.txt/device_info_sst
that doesn’t exist – but
$domain/files/activesync/debug.txt
exists, what maybe is a bug.
That probably is.
This debug.txt has got huge (several hundreds MB) and is growing by
updates. That’s actually a concern of the backups space and the
eGroupWare server as well.
My modest proposals here:
a) Creating the esync debug file with suitable permissions in
egroupware’s $tmp.
That’s already a tmpfs here and won’t be part of the backups.
b) Creating a directory for esync debug files.
A tmpfs could be mounted on this mountpoint for the debug files,
which can easily be excluded from backup.
It would be nice to be able to easily switch the debug.txt on and off
for the GUI. Unfortunately it’s not that easy given the nature of the
ActiveSync protocoll and the z-push inplementation.
An easy and quick workaround is to symlink debug.txt to /dev/null, when
you are not debugging, 'til we find a good permanent solution.
