Activesync - How to reduce the updates on the database

Hi,

Activesync keeps updating the “egw_esync_devices” table with the “latest” info (All fields).
The only field that actually changes is “dev_last_sync”

Is there a setting/method to reduce the amount of updates? I really don’t need to know the last sync was this very second. I would be happy to get that updated once every 5 minutes.

Hi Joost.

I’m not quite sure…
But doesn’t the client set the interval?
And therefore also the logging of the status?

In this case, it’s an iphone with the default exchange client.
Not sure where this can be configured, but even if it keeps connecting for new info, it should not necessarily keep doing a full update on the record in the database

Checking/monitoring the “z-push.log” : the iPhone causes the following every 3 or 4 seconds:
SyncCollections->CheckForChanges(): Waiting for store changes… (lifetime 900 seconds)
