BB OS10 and HTC phones have problems with eSync. It seems Zafara has found a solution and the newer ZPush version seems to have resolved the issue.

Can we just upgrade ZPush by extracting it in the ActiveSync directory or are there other ways to update the ZPush version?.

Unfortunately it’s not that easy. We use an older modified version of
ZPush (not new ZPush2).

What are the symptoms you observer, or what commits in newer ZPush
version have fixed the issue.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was already afraid it would be more difficult.

The BB10’s regularly loses connection, but above all the message is cut when replying or forwarding. The latter results in multiple attempts to send the reply or forward.

For my HTC the contacts are not syncing correct i would guess this is fixed in build 1892.

Also i am experiencing problems after the update to Windows phone 8.1 on my Nokia 1020 with total shutdown of the device but i am not 100% sure if this is related to the active sync. At least i see this point: [ZP-438] – Non stop sync if no changes on empty sync. Because the phone is always on “Not up2date”. I temp workaround ed it by putting it to timed sync once per hour instead of push.

I sync EGW 14.1 with Blackberry Z10, and it works. no problem

There was a known issue with BB OS 10 and especially the Q10 with the message cut-off. Zafara (the developers of Zpush)had the issue listed in the bug log and has found a solution in the latest Zpush version. The bug is that all messages are cut off and that results in sending the 3 times. However on the BB10 it is listed as a single failed send attempt.

I can circumvent the issue by switching off email sync and setting up additional IMAP account on the Q10.

A second problem is the constant loss of connection. At least 5 times a day I get the annoying dingeling sound stating that my account is no longer synchronized.
