AD Accounts exported via CardDAV?

We would like to export AD Accounts as CardDAV contacts. EGw Addressbook can display them among other (SQL internal) address books, but only those internal seem to be visible on CardDav… So that’s why I wonder, and I’d like to ask: is it even possible?

They should be exported, as the SQL accounts in the collection /accounts-addressbook, which will also appear in your CardDAV home, if you add the preference to show up there.

For the record, after selecting “All” in Preferences - CardDAV - Addressbook, the Accounts do appear between CardDAV contacts. Excellent, beyond expectations.

The only glitch is, that there are all accounts exported that EGroupware has access to. And because it is possible to specify only one LDAP/AD context, and thus the context is quite broad, there are all accounts, even technical, admin etc.

We are trying to develop an option, where for example only accounts with telephone/mobile number would be exported by CardDAV. We’re looking into source code, whether we would be able to create a patch.

Well, it seems that there exist some AD attributes that have impact on Exchange. For example, msExchHideFromAddressLists can mark an account to be hidden from addressbook.

Does EGroupware respect such or similar attribute?

Hi Peter,

no, only AD attribute EGroupware cares about:

• account active (useraccountcontrol bit 2)
• expiration time of accounts (accountexpires)
• password last changed
• require password change on next login
