Address book groups

Hi

I have installed Egroupware 14.2 community. With the egroupware-epl-groups install as well, because we have had egroupware in the past. The groups module works, but I am unable to create shared address books. I dont see any way to do it.

Is there any way to create different group address books for different user groups? The reason for this that the different groups are different departments and users should in each group should have a shared address book.

Group addressbooks are created by granting read, write, delete
permissions from that group to itself or others.

To do you you need to right-click on that group in Admin and select
"Access control" from context menu.
In popup you select “Access to group X data by others” and application
"Addressbook". Then you can add rights.

I believe that has been described in our administration tutorial video,
you should check it out.

Thanks for your help. Really appreciated. It is not working

Now a new issue has occoured. I am unable to use LDAP as contacts repository. I have set up where they should be stored. I then tried to create a contact to a group where I should be able to.

I get the ldap error 50 in my server logs where it says insufficient permissions. I then found the ACLs needed in the addressbook doc folder. (acl_addressbook.conf)

I modified the cn dc etc, and then copied the acls to my slapd conf. I used slaptest to make the .ldif files without issues. It says ok to testing the config.
Though I am still unable to create contacts to either personal contacts or group contacts. This is the same whether I am a normal user or admin. I have had the configs cleaned and generated .ldif files with the acl’s multiple times. Also restarted the server.

I am running OpenLdap and Egroupware 14.2 build 150218 (Running Centos RHEL 6)

Maybe someone can provide help or point me in the right direction…
