Hello Users and Developers,
(hoping for sooner reply to that by posting on both lists, thou this isn’t a crosspost)
I made some [quite nice] use of Javascript in the custom fields
of the Addressbook;
However, it turned out not to be enough.
Is it possible to make the field of ‘Select Entry - Addressbook’ type,
to automatically create a link between the a/b entries (and put a name
of the entry we’re doing it /from/, into the entry selected, same field :
custom/select entry -addressbook type) ? It’ll be good if it created
automatically (as the ends of link are created traditionally), nice if
the other custom field a/b picker got filled with reciprocal information,
and best if the link (and the picker infos) could be removed by a click
on another button (but only the link to entry as the picker is displaying it)
Imagine that we want to create links between 2 distinct category hierarchies
on Addressbook, in such a way that we see, at a glance of the list
of one hierarchy, which element of the other hierarchy is linked;
even if it means, that we need to actually /enter/ into viewing mode
of the relevant a/b entry, to follow that link - we want to know,
where the link will lead us /before/ going into view mode, and
all we want to know is the unique code the other side is assigned, that
we can search it by.
If that’s not exactly possible, maybe a field that would display the content
of the links tab, in the custom tab ? (just the selected type of link, e.g. a/b)
so some selected info of the linked entry can be shown in a/b list mode.
Hope it’s not too complicated in description
Kind Regards,
Lukasz
