Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks very much for the quick reply. I changed the LDAP root DN to admin@wataugamc.org, and after saving, the "invalid credentials" message no longer appears... If I put the password for the user in incorrectly, it re-appears, so it looks like I am authenticating to the LDAP server properly now.
My next problem is this: When i click on the addressbook icon, I continue to get these errors"
Warning: ldap_search() [function.ldap-search]: Search: Operations error in /usr/share/egroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.contacts_ldap.inc.php on line 480
Warning: ldap_get_entries(): supplied argument is not a valid ldap result resource in /usr/share/egroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.contacts_ldap.inc.php on line 482
Warning: ldap_count_entries(): supplied argument is not a valid ldap result resource in /usr/share/egroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.contacts_ldap.inc.php on line 485
Warning: usort() [function.usort]: The argument should be an array in /usr/share/egroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.contacts_ldap.inc.php on line 500
showing
How can I get around these? Am I missing a configuration setting somewhere?
Thanks again for your timely response.

Hi,

I have a windows 2003 domain running Active Directory. I have recently
installed egroupware on a linux box, and would like to configure the address
book to search our Active Directory for contacts. Here is my setup in
Addressbook Site Configuration:
LDAP host for contacts:
LDAP context for contacts: dc=wataugamc,dc=org
LDAP root dn for contacts: admin
It says dn not cn, uid. So it mußt be something like
cn=admin,dc=wataugamc,dc=org
No idea if the addressbook work with AD.

I know that our Active Directory install is configured properly for 3rd
party LDAP searches because I have successfully setup Thunderbird mail
client to use AD as our global address book (just as a test). What have I
done wrong? Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this
integrated properly?
Thanks in advance…
