Ralf, All,
There are a number of times where I receive a file (resume, etc.) that I would
like to attach to an address entry and I have rsync’ed the file to the computer
hosting egw, and I want to tell egw to create a link to the file already on the
egw server instead of copying the file from my present computer.
IIRC, egw will create a link to a file that exists on the egw host instead of
copying another copy of the file to the sever. How do I tell egw (18.005svn)
that the file already exists on its very own server?
The Problem
In Add Addressbook -> Links tab, you have the file entry dialog:
attach file [Browse…] […text box… ] [Attach] [ ]
What form of address can I put in ‘…text box…’ that would cause egw to
link to the existing copy on the server? For example, the file I want is in:
/home/samba/rankin/office/staff/resume/new-resume.pdf
If I am at my laptop and use the [Browse…] button to locate the file on my
laptop and press [Attach], egw will copy new-resume.pdf from my laptop to the
server again. I just want to know if I can tell it to use the existing copy somehow.
(I hope what I’m trying to do is clear and makes sense…)
Is this possible?
