Admin space simply gone

Hallo, sorry for this stupid question - but maybe someone has a quick fix, I would be really greatfull:
I somehow managed to close the admin space. We have one Admin account and somehow instead of all the things in side-bar navigation we usually see it now looks like what the ordinary users see - only calender, infolog etc. I just can’t get it back- logged in and out a dozend times.

It’s Version 16.9002
I would be really greatfull if someone could help me out there.

Most simple solution is to log into setup (upper login / https://example.org/egroupware/setup/) and click on [Create Admin Account]. If you specify the name of your (existing) user, it will only give him the admin-rights back.

You need to update to a current version!

Hi Ralf,
Not the OP but a colleague - the Admin User is successfully logged in as shows in the bottom right of the screen after the initial login, however the Admin Console that is usually at the top of the page has simply disappeared. The user did not lose admin rights, we simply cannot see the admin panel at the top.

If the user lost the admin rights, that’s exactly how it looks - the Admin application is gone from the side-menu.

I agree, it looks like a normal user login. However, I see this in the bottom right when logged in with our administrative user: adminloggedin

Also one more thing - there is no option to [Create Admin Account], this is what we see when we go to the setup page:

Yes, thats right. The login for the setup.
Or do you want anyone who knows the address to get in???

I get that part now - it took a while: We tried to login with the credentials from our usual Admin user (the one that has lost the admin rights, really no clue how that happened) - so of course we couldn’t log in under “Setup/Config”. But apperently we need different credentials anyway: Not the sysop credentials but the credential of a user called admin. We will try that next morning. More puzzling: How can Admin rights simply vanish. I was nowhere near anything that could cause somethin like that. Simply thought i just clicked the panel away.

A quick update: We fixed the problem by comparing tables to a fresh installation. It seems that the execution rights can be lost - i guess by accidently revoking the run rights when setting acl rights for other apps like calender/import-export using the admin panel etc. That is the only plausible explaination we could come up with.

I don’t want to try that again but I think a warning would be a big improvement so that users with admin panel run rights can’t accidently revoke them.
