Amount of rows fetched in "endless scrolling lists"

Where can I change the amount of records that are fetched each time? I believe it’s grabbing 50 at a time, and I was curious how it might perform if it pulled less.

etemplate/js/et2_dataview_controller.js line 30, ET2_DATAVIEW_STEPSIZE

Also of interest, etemplate/inc/class.etemplate_widget_nextmatch.inc.php
line 99 INITIAL_ROWS

Performance varies by app. Too few rows and you’ll need another request
right away if the user is still scrolling.

One more thing… Could you tell me where/how to fully disable out the sidebar project list? I removed it from the templates but the query still runs.

Reducing the rows fetched (ET2_DATAVIEW_STEPSIZE and INITIAL_ROWS) didn’t help my slow project manager list query.

I’m now playing with ET2_DATAVIEW_FETCH_TIMEOUT in regards to users with bad internet connections.

I do have working on PM on my list of things to do (won’t be done until
August), including improving the sidebox tree performance, so I’m
interested in your results for this too.

Fully disable the sidebar project list in projectmanager_ui::ajax_tree(),
as it’s called from several places.
There’s a foreach() loop in there that you want to skip.

I commented out all ajax_tree calls and also the main foreach() in the function. That sidebar query takes 34 seconds so I’m really pleased to see it gone!
