Hi!
… again coming back to the anonymous download from the website, I’ve
placed the following patch into the tracker:
1861 Patches Filemanager Trunk
This patch adds a method to allow anonymous downloads.
In order to use the filemanager as a public download area, this patch
adds an interface which performs an auto-login into webdav (like sitemgr
does).
Before this patch, the website had to be visited to be able to download
files. Using the website’s (new) download.php as a reference (e.g. in
mails and the download sitemgr module) will provide access for direct
download (e.g. wget or download from the mail application).
The webdav.php cannot be extended due to many reasons:
- auto-login without interference to webdav
functionality would only be possible with a special
argument
- login with the anonymous user will only work
when the anonymous user is known. This is the
case for defined websites only.
- …
That’s why the (new) download.php must be located and called inside the
website tree.
Also, the sitemgr download module must refer to the website’s
download.php instead of the /webdav.php in order to visualize the link.
Maybe, you could give it a glance or even include this as a new feature.
Thanks,
Hans-Jürgen
