I know somebody had this problem last year and it went away on its own. Unfortunately, in our case it does not. We have tried all sorts of things for more than a day and are at a loss what to do.
The basics:
Its hosted by Siteground on a Linux Server
EGroupware version: 1.8.005 (only recently updated)
PHP version: 5.3.28: cgi-fcgi
Issue occurs on the website: nobody can access the website from the front-end (www.richerme.org). Once a user is logged in, the website works as it should and has for over a year. All the settings regarding the anonymous user and a “NoGroup” are in place. We noticed the following:
- when we give the anonymous user admin rights, the website is accessible from the front-end.
- before the problem occurred, we also tried to add a new global category and assign this category to a specific user group. After saving the category, it would only allow the user group with admin rights to access it. We can not restrict it to a different user group. This might be related or not.
Could somebody please point us in the direction to find the problem?
Thank you very much in advance!
