Hi,
I’m running EGW 1.8 and was trying to setup the automatic backup feature
that is provided under Admin -> Asynchronous timed services by setting
up a new schedule but by some reason it doesn’t work.
I’ve checked this page:
http://community.egroupware.org/index.php?wikipage=ManualSetupDb_backup
where it says that I should click on *[activate Timed Asynchron Service]
*button, but I don’t see that button in this page (maybe the
documentation is deprecated). I entered also in the Admin ->
Asynchronous timed services option and what I see is this:
Async services last executed: Never (crontab)
Run Asynchronous service: crontab only (recomended)
Installed crontab: /etc/cron.d/egroupware
I have a file called /etc/cron.d/egroupware and inside it has this:
MAILTO=root
SHELL=/bin/bash # run EGroupware’s async services for all domains
*/5 * * * * www-data /usr/bin/php -q
/usr/share/egroupware/phpgwapi/cron/asyncwrapper.php
And in the logs, I see that each 5 minutes this script is being
executed. But by some reason the scheduled backup is not being done. If
I click on “backup now” button then I do get the backup, so I imagine
there is something wrong with the scheduling.
What should I do?
Could I create if this doesn’t work a manual SQL dump with mysqldump?
Regards.
