Bug in freetime search button and xajax.php

Hello,
There is a problem when wh click on the button “freetime search” on the
calendar popup.
In fact the button seem to work randomly. the freetime search popup open
after 1, 2,3 or … click

When I have look in the file xajax.php, I have notice that when the
freetime popup doesn’t show. the value of handler is not set
in the line
error_log(“xajax.php: appName=$appName, className=$className,
functionName=$functionName, handler=$handler”);
the value of the variable referer is also different when the windows
open or not

example
When it is not working :
xajax.php: appName=notifications, className=notifications_ajax,
functionName=get_notifications, handler=, referer:
http://mydomaine.com/egroupdebug/index.php?menuaction=calendar.calendar_uiviews.index

When it is working :
xajax.php: appName=calendar, className=calendar_uiforms,
functionName=ajax_freetimesearch, handler=/etemplate/process_exec,

That might be a misconception, we are busy with our new EPL release.

Just open a bug report on www.egroupware.org/bugs to make sure it’s not
get lost.

Support for the community release is on a best effort basis, if you want
reliable support, get the professional version.

Hi,
After some work i manage to find the bug
It’s very strange the problem is in
phpgwapi/inc/xajax/xajax_core/xajaxArgumentManager.inc.php
in the function
argumentDecodeXML

in fact the $sArg seem to be treated differently by php with substr or
other sting function
Can’t really explain because I sure my configuration is ok with mbstring
and I can reproduce this on multiple server

but if i replace the line 140
if ($sExpecting == substr($sArg, $nCurrent, $nExpectedLength))
by
if ($sExpecting == mb_strcut($sArg, $nCurrent, $nExpectedLength,‘UTF-8’))

it work like a charm
mb_strcut is more clever than mb_substr
