Bug in tracker

Hello,

sometimes when I change a tracker ticket, the tr_private changes to ‘NULL’, the ticket then disappears from the list, and I habe to change it in the db to ‘0’. Then the ticket is back again.

I dn’t know exactly when this happens, it seems to be when I edit the owner of the ticket in the GUI, (pixelegg theme).

Could you please check the javascript console on the main window for any
warnings when saving. I’m hoping for a validation error.

Hi,

I didn’t find anything in the console, but I could reproduce the bug.

I changed the owner of a ticket, which was not marked as private in the list, but the private checkbox was set in the opened ticket. Then I switched off the private checkbox and saved the ticket. This results to a NULL entry in the db, and the ticket wasn’t found anymore, even it was mine.

I’m not sure how to duplicate this part:

Since you have DB access, could you please check what the DB value is for
private? Maybe it’s just a mismatch of string vs boolean or something.
I’m assuming owner = created by. NULL will usually break the matching,
since we generally don’t use it.

It’s more simple, I have removed the rights for private for all, and when I create a new ticket the tr_private is NULL.

I wasn’t able to get rows to disappear.

I removed all ACL for Private, and tested with Configuration ->
Miscellaneous -> Default private both on and off

I have several test tickets, some with 1, some with 0, some with NULL. DB
is MySQL.
They all show up, and stay there as I change values both through the edit
dialog, and the context menu.

Changing the Private filter works as expected, Yes shows the private (1),
No shows the not private (0), leaving it un-filtered shows all including
nulls.
