Summary - #3208 - Outlook via Funambol lose “Mobile Phone” field data
Server: Debian Stable x86 with last 1.8.004.20121024 from repository
Client: Outlook 2007/2010 with Funambol 10.1.6 (but also with 10.0.2)
OK if:
- I add a new contact or edit a contact on egroupware via web
- sync outlook with funambol
- I find new contact with number written in “Mobile phone” field
NOT OK if:
- I edit “Mobile phone” of that contact just added
- sync outlook with funambol
- on egroupware web “Mobile phone” content is deleted and now empty
NOT OK also if:
- I add a new contact to outlook
- sync outlook with funambol
- I find new contact on egroupware web but “Mobile phone” field is empty even if I wrote something in the field in outlook
I checked logs and funambol send and receive not empty “TEL;CELL” field but egroupware server seems ignore it when that field comes from funambol; using Thunderbird 17.0.2 with Sogo Connector 17.0.3 all is ok (on windows and on mac osx).
Comment by Jörg Lehrke at 2013/04/09 12:22:
I tried to reproduce the issue with Funambol Windows Sync Client v10.1.6 and Outlook 2002 and I couldn’t. The Synchronization works for me in both directions. The only issue I notiiced is that the private mobile number is not supported by Outlook and therefore not synchronized via SyncML.
You can enable a detailed vCard debug logging by editing the file
$EGROUPWAREHOME/addressbook/inc/class.addressbook_vcal.inc.php
and set var $log = true;
During the vCard processing a file “/tmp/log-vcard” is produced which should give you an hint what goes wrong.

Today I upgraded my debian installation with last package “1.8.004.20130322” but this bug seems still there.
Comment by matzuk Mattia at 2013/02/25 15:37:
Can I replace only these file (from rev. 41772) on my Debian installation (rev. 40363) waiting for newer revision to come in Debian repository?
Comment by Ralf Becker at 2013/02/25 12:52:
Renamed php files to .php.txt, so you can download them.
I will build new Debian (and other distribution) packages, once I found time to test if iOS devices still work we Jörgs modification.

Sorry I can’t download attached files. 403 Forbidden

I’m not involved in the Debian release process and therefore can’t tell when this update will be available. I attached the two change files though, so you can update you installation manually. Both live underneath $EGWROOT/addressbook/inc/

When revision #41772 will be available in debian repository?
Comment by Jörg Lehrke at 2013/02/19 21:03:
The issue should be resolved with revision #41772. Please confirm and close the bug.

The issue was introduced with revision # 38792. The problem fix there must be addressed differently. I’m working on it.
