CalDav Problem

Hallo,

Lightning 0.9 RC1 verschluckt sich irgendwie an dem Caldav Server von
Egroupware. Ich hab’ mal einen Wireshark Trace gemacht, vielleicht hilft
der ja weiter. Ich weiß ja noch nicht mal ob es an Lightning oder egw liegt.

Hi Christoph,

Lightning is quering VTODO’s and eGW responds with a 404, because it
does not (yet) support VTODO’s only VEVENTS.

A Lightning 0.8 asks next for VEVENT’s and get’s them from eGW.

I dont know if Lightning 0.9 requires some other response, to tell it we
dont support VTODO’s yet, or it simply does not work without VTODO’s. In
which case you would have to wait, 'til I have time to implement VTODO
support.

Maybe someone from the Mozilla calendaring list can answer that.

Or, if you just want to test 0.9rc1, you can hack Lightning:

that doesn’t work for me, but in mozilla.dev.apps.calendar I got the
following response:

As far as I’ve read the RFC’s, the server MUST reply to a getetag with
a 207, even if the server doesn’t support getting VTODOs. I’ve noticed
also Google does not support getting tasks and replies with a 4xx
error and have special cased that, but its not that simple for
eGroupware and we don’t want to introduce workarounds for each server
type.

I can imagine that we can adopt the code to make our client accept a
4xx code when a tasks/events query is made and disable tasks/events
respectively, but we would have to hurry since we are shortly before a
release.

I can take a look at egroupware and see if its trivial to install it
on my box, but if not then it would be nice if someone could provide
me with an account I can test things with.
