Using Community EGR 1.8 I was successful in connecting via Outlook,
Apple Calendar and Thunderbird.
There were however many issues with handling of invitations and
acceptance status between different platform clients, so many that using
them became impossible.
OTOH, I’ve tested cross platform Thunderbird to Thunderbird and that
work perfectly so I’m practically certain it’s not EGR’s fault but the
way different clients understand to interpret and respond to
invitations/status changes.
My question would be: has anyone been successful at integrating
different plaform client (mainly Outlook and Mac Mail/Apple Calendar)
where invitations sent from a MAc user to a windows user are correctly
interpreted and acted upon and responses to those invitations the same
way? Migrating the users to a common denominator (Thunderbird, the EGR
web interface) is not really an option for us.
