why I get this strange error trying to restore a backup ?

Call to undefined method ADORecordSet_mysqli::fetchColumn()

Where does the backup come from? From this installation?

Please also test the installation on a current EGroupware version.

I’m trying to upgrade from 1.8 to 17.1
… maybe I’m doing it, in the wrong way.

Hi Francesco.

Most of the time, a database upgrade works quite smoothly. Minor problems can always occur with such an old database.

We offer the database upgrade as a service:

As a rule, we calculate 2 hours. That usually fits.
You load your old database into an EGroupware trial, we do the update and fix errors and problems if necessary. Afterwards you can test and download a backup and install it on your system.

So before you work on it yourself for a long time and then it doesn’t work out…

Especially if you work for an organisation/company. You don’t have to do everything yourself.
