can anyone tell me how to create groups in the new beta egroupware?
I see where to add used, but there is no “Add” button for groups
This is one of the differences between community version of 14.1 and our
subscription versino (EPL).
In bringing community version up to date with our subscription and
making most features available to everyone, we have to find an other
incentive for professional EGroupware users to support the continuous
development of the software they use.
Community version comes with with three stock groups:
- Default for all users
- Admins for administrators
- NoGroup for anonymous users
You can add as many users as you which to these groups, but there’s no
user-interface in community version to add more groups.
If you upgrade all previous created groups are of cause kept.
EPL version adds functionality to add (and remove) groups. We are
thinking about issuing free upgrade keys to long term users of community
version, allowing them to keep their current functionality in terms of
adding as much groups as they which. We will use EGroupware user
statistics submissions (including install_id) to automatic prover you
are a long term user of community version.
I hope you understand that continuous professional development and
improvement of EGroupware needs to be funded.
