Hi there.

On git branch master freshly pulled.
Upon CAS auth, i get some errors on the apache logs :

[Fri Jun 17 11:08:59.076537 2016] [fcgid:warn] [pid 4860] [client
xx.xx.xx.xx:xxxx] mod_fcgid: stderr: An error happened
(EGroupware\Api\Exception\AssertionFailed): CreateObject() file
/usr/share/egroupware/api/inc/class…inc.php not found!, referer:
https://x.xxxxxxx.com/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fx.xxxxxx.com%2Flogin.php%3Fcd%3D1%26domain%3Dxxxxxx

The issue seems to be related to index.php :
mod_fcgid: stderr: #0 /usr/share/egroupware/index.php(151):
CreateObject(‘api.’)

Note that this does not prevent access to egroupware. An error message
appears briefly on tab title (using FF47).

Can you check your web-servers error-log and post the trace of that
exception.

It might be caused by having no application selected to start with …

Hi Sébastien,

Ralf, just a small drop to point out that there are no such logs after
setting ldap auth instead of cas.

Sorry to say, I have not much idea about CAS.

Code was contributed and if you find a fix, I can apply it to our sources.

Not much more I can do, unless you want to contract us for fixing it,
but that would be at least a project for a couple of days, as we would
need to set up a test-system …

Also i checked “Open application tabs = Mail” and “Active
applications tab = Mail” from preferences.

Also i checked a full home page reload without re-auth, message
doesn’t appear.

Might it be related to something like the url sent by egw, to be
redirected back from cas login, is malformed ?

Yes, you can uninstall all old apps from setup (phpbrain, wiki, sitemgr,
…).

After you deinstalled them, you can also deinstall (old) etemplate and
at last phpgwapi.
phpgwapi deinstall des not yet work on RC1 packages, you need to wait
for RC2 or use a git checkout.
After that you can remove the egroupware-epl-compat package via your
package-manager.

You should make a backup of your database, before attempting the above!

Now that I started to use it, it would be bad news for me.

Yes, it is deprecated, but still available in 16.1.

We have not yet decided how we will deal with it in future releases.
We also have a lot of content in our wiki.
