Changed workday start to 8:00am but can't see 8:00am appointments in month view

My workday starts at 8:00 am and I have appointments at 8:00 am. The default in 23.1 is a workday start of 9:00 am. This makes the appointments that start at 8:00 am appear as only small slivers of color on the month calendar display. Additionally, on hover, the information for the appointment is not displayed. I have changed the workdays start in calendar preferences to 8:00 am, but this makes no difference in month view.

All of the detail information for the appointment “pops-under” the week heading and is not shown.

What can I do to make my 8:00 am appointments available in month view?

Also, even though I have configured the month view to show in the calendar toolbar in site-config, the [31] only appears in the elipsized overflow part of the toolbar. Shouldn’t it appear in the toolbar if selected to do so?

Well,

No, it doesn’t work here, but my default still shows Array after setting Month View, e.g.

In multi-week view I can scroll up/down with mouse-wheel and see appointments, but it doesn’t show the 26th event until I move to different dates – that’s why I have always used month view to see the month at a time. Here is multi-week working fine:

This is how it is shown in month-view on my 1.8.007 install that I’m trying to get a similar view of in 23.1:

Aside:

I have also written a small hamburger menu that may look a lot better than the HUGE one in 23.1. You can grab it and take a look at Small Hamburger Menu Icon in CSS That would help with the real estate use at the top-left of the interface. (link good until Tue 10 Oct 2023 04:02:58 PM CDT)

Ooops…

I broke something. I changed the Default to [x multi-view], [x month-view] as you showed and the month calendar now shows the 8:00 am event, but it lost all the time increments shown. AND I now have 4 of the mini-views stacked on top of each other in the menu, e.g.

The month-view is better, and I could live with it, but how do I get rid of the 4 copies of the mini calendar in the menu ?

Doesn’t make much sense, but I went through Admin -> Preferences -> Default Preferences and changed several settings (country was still Germany) and a few others (text size - small). After saving the admin preferences, the calendar then started showing 8:00 on month view. Now recall, I did NOT import any of the application or site preferences from 1.8.007, allowing the 23.1 preferences to remain in the default state. So that may have been the problem – the default settings on 23.1 had not been fully set. That I can’t explain.

Now if I could just get the hour height reduced by 50%, I could see the whole month like in idots. :)
