Hello Ralf,
Hello,
How can the ownership of the infolog entries be changed ?
(e.g. in case an employee leaves us and there are some tickets we
want to transfer to someone else’s ownership, NOT just responsibility,
as responsibility can be amended too easy)
When deleting a user, you can specify an other user which get’s his data
transfered (Not all apps support that!).
Yes, I’ve seen that option when opting to delete user; However,
it’s a little bit too general for my taste. What I’m looking for is rather
- to NOT delete the user,
- but rather to transfer /open/ infolog tickets owned by them
Other possebility is to disable the user and grant the new user access
to the old users data.
All users in the group have visibility of the infolog tickets (it’s used
as sort of office message board), thing is there is a lot of traffic, and
commonly we use ‘own open’ filter to let particular user view their own
tickets that are open; Yes it is possible to filter it in the Owner column
of the infolog list too - but Own Open/Responsible Open is quicker and more
robust (user can’t deny that they haven’t been aware of seeing it on their
list, also saves of a lot of bad mood in the workforce, because it’s self evident)
This of course should be admin-only (or group-supervisor-only) option too,
(if accessible over web interface, common usage would be, that the user who requests
ownership change of particular ticket, describes the reason and delegates the ticket
to the supervisor, who in turn do that)
(maybe there is an app that can do that, with selective enough criteria, but capable of
mass-change of ownership?)
