It might be helpful to understanding the issue if you could show the email headers and a screencap of the output displayed, but anonymise anything personal. I find these give the best tell-tale clues at to what the mis-encoding issue is.

I have a problem with reading a message via felamimail
This message is encoded with charset = “windows-1256”
As iconv PHP externsion supports windows-1256, I updated all current
branches (Trunk, EPL-11.1, 1.8, but NOT 1.6!) to use iconv for it.

and characters with accents are masked (all is ok if I read the message with
Thunderbird)
Is there something I can do to fix it ?
