Community 19.1 NOT Update

Good morning.
I started searching in other posts but I couldn’t find anything that could help me.
For some days I have the update icon but egroupware does not update.
My current release is 20190917 the upgrade is 20190925 EPL.
Do I miss anything?

Can you run the following commands for me:

ls -ld /root/.docker/config.json
grep config.json /etc/egroupware-docker/docker-compose.yml

You could also check the logs to see why watchtower did not update:

cd /etc/egroupware-docker
docker-compose logs -f watchtower

Hiya,

I had the same problem. After trying to launch watchtower manually I saw that it exited right after

Error loading config file: /root/.docker/config.json: read /root/.docker/config.json

So I created the thing myself as a text file containing just { }. That fixed the updates.

My upgrade from version 17 wasn’t the smoothest of experiences so I chalked it up to that and didn’t give it much thought afterwards…

Forgot to say, you have to update the watchtower container after that.

Thanks, thought they only confirmed what xenolevis and I suspected: You had no config.json file and the starting container created it as directory, from there on nothing works. You need to remove the directory, create an empty json file and remove and restart the watchtower container by running the following commands “for you” this time:

cd /etc/egroupware-docker
docker-compose stop watchtower
docker-compose rm -f watchtower
rm -rf /root/.docker/config.json
echo "{}" > /root/.docker/config.json
docker-compose up -d
