I am really starting to feel dumb… I still can’t find it??
Am I looking at the right dialog?
Whoa…
This I don’t understand, but the entry only appears in Forced Preferences, and I never mess with forced preferences…No telling how that was set, but how come the ability to set the start day doesn’t appear on the Default preferences or Your preferences?
That was my whole issue, I never mess with forced preferences, so I didn’t snap to the fact you meant literally the Forced preferences list item.
It’s there, but I guess I’ll have to log out/in for it to take effect.
Okay, I guess it only appears elsewhere if set to User’s choice. If it’s forced, then no need to display unless an override is allowed, but that’s what Default/Your does.
Total success. After sorting out the calendar preferences, all is well (other than fallback). Here is another default changed and why. The settings default to list for [x multiweek]
and [x monthview]
, but removing the hour list from multiweek doesn’t really save you any vertical screen real estate, so I ended up wtih:
Which provides a nice multiweek on a 1600x900 laptop with the browser in a normal window:
An absolutely amazingly, using the list for monthview allows the entire month to show in the calendar! List is a reasonable tradeoff for monthview under pixelegg using CSS/grid instead of idots using tables.
Only other OFI would be to trim another 2px
from padding-top
, padding-bottom
on the heading rows, but that’s rather small savings.
Thanks you again Ralf!
