No, there’s no setting - yet.
It’s hardcoded.
I made a feature request of having this as a setting instead of being
hardcoded. Bu have not heard back.

I have similar issues with iPhone and desktop clients.
The current hardcoding is 60x60px. I guess an increase to 120px would
already be looking much better.

Hi everybody,
i just realized that uploading a photo in a contact of my addressbook
downscales it vastly. The result is a big bunch of pixels similar to a
person i know on the screen of my phone after a sync.
Is there a setting to increase the picture-size? Has this to do with
me using SQL as a storage backend?
