Database back up doesn't back up all tables and is leaving a table out

Hello I have been trying to back up my database for a while, but all the while one table is not getting backed up. I am migrating my applications onto a testing environment and need all the tables. I log into Egroupware -> goto the Admin application -> Select DB backup and restore -> Click Back Up now. And it gives me a back up file which I am using to restore my egroupware instance.

I have 118 tables in use, but I only get 117 in the back up!! what could the reason be?? Do I have to add all these tables anywhere?? Cos I didn’t do the addition of table names & its fields unless they are used in next-match etemplate list view generation.

Am I missing something??

Sounds like the eGW API doesn’t know about it.
I think you need to have your table in the list in your setup/setup.inc.php:
$setup_info[‘your_app_name’][‘tables’] = array(… list of table names…)

There may be other places, like tables_current.inc.php that need to be set also.

NB: These are automatically maintained by DB-Tools, and will be
changed for you if you’re using DB-Tools to set up your tables.

I have added all the tables to the set up file, at $setup_info[‘VIFTool’][‘tables’]. But it still gives me the same number of tables. By the way I have 9 tables for this application and I only have 4 of them in use for next-match etemplate list view generation. So only 4 them were earlier present in the tables_current_inc.php and setup_info. Rest of the 4 out of 5 tables were not listed but still made it to the back up, only one table is not coming into the back up??

Can I find or edit, how the tables are backed up, where does the list generate from?? Would it be available in the class.db_backup.inc.php file in phpgwapi??

db_backup looks like it pulls its data from adodb’s schema
definition(s). That’s as far as I was able to follow it. I’m pretty
sure those are related to the setup/tables_* files, but I just don’t
know how that section works.

thank you Nathan, just exported the required SQL and inserted it back into the Database to back up the required tables. Wonder why the other table did not work fine!!
