Hi, I installed eGroupWare 1.4.x version, which is supposed to be stable as per downloads site.
I enabled the eTemplates as admin user and try to see the database tables by using “db tools”
When I select Application as “Address Book”, dropdown menu under “Tables” is blank as follows
But when I click on any other application like Calendar, or Track etc, db tools clearly shows all the table names and when I select any table, it clearly shows all the database fileds and types.
Why is that, I could not see AddressBook tables under “db tools”.
I tried to add a custom field in the address book, it gives me an error while entering data.
Apparently “db tools” does not recognize the eTemplates associated with database tables.
I tried to change the eTemplates, for example, spelling of “organisation” to “organization”.
I updated the eTemplate for AddressBook application by clicking on the right edge of the chosen text of the label field.
But now, I can not addany more data into the tables. When I save, it does not show up on the main window of the address book application.
I tried to create MySQL new columns for new custom fields, but they are not recgnized by the application GUI, and also they could not be updated when I did a MySQL selcect using command line request. Could any one add a custome fileld? Can someone please help by walking though thje steps of adding custom-fileds in the address book applications.
