Hi Lukasz,
Hello,
this probably happened still in 1.8.004.20121024 (from Debian Packages),
I have (upon request of management…) deleted a few old user accounts,
(which always (every time I do that) causes a ‘white blank screen’ upon
proceeding from the question where I decide if i want to delete or re-own
this users’ items, one of these days I will catch the logs of it but
I haven’t yet)
You need to look in your Apache error_log to see what’s causing that
Fatal PHP error. It stalls re-assigning ownership of deleted accounts.
I just checked in the code, that 1.8 and all versions above, implement
re-assigning of ownership for knowledgebase application.
Ralf
and aside from the abovementioned strangeness I did not suspect something
else may be wrong, until I started getting signals that some of the
Knowledge Base articles are showing 'you don’t have correct permissions’
screen to users; (the users were creating http links in the article body
between articles, and some of the links started displaying the above warning
instead of an article)
After verifying that relevant users&groups do have the relevant permissions,
it looked at first like they were gone and lost (not even a member of Admins group,
like, me, could see them in Knowledge Base Menu-Maintain Articles
https://server/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=phpbrain.uikb.maintain_articles)
Then I thought I’d go into phpmyadmin, armed with a list of dead links,
and there in egw_kb_articles table it emerged that they were still there,
just user_id column contained non-existent number;
After running manually an SQL query to alter that to existing one,
the articles were ‘restored’.
(I just checked, this only happened with one user that was deleted, none of the
other deleted user id’s seem to appear in the egw_kb_articles table,
but that may be because they did not own/have created any too)
Hope this helps,
Lukasz
