I have installed EGroupware (1.8) on my domain. I have set up the system to
notify me of new versions. I received deprecated messages, so searched this
forum for other reports (one post mentioned ereg() on line 130). Ralf
suggested to upgrade with the daily snapshot, so I did. I still receive
these messages but on line 111 and 112:

/home/mydomain.com/www/egroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.common.inc.php on line

Some ideas on how to avoid this, other than turning off “new version
checking”?
