Hi Lubos,
Hi,
is there any chance to use distribution lists in Address Book under LDAP.
When I open address book I can see “Distribution lists” sign, but there
is not any field where I can see lists along.
No, distribution lists were never implemented for LDAP, due to a
standardized way how to store them in LDAP.
I know we could use eg. GroupOfNames to store something like
distribution lists, or other systems have their own schemata to store them.
LDAP support, specially pagination of an ordered result set, in PHP and
openLDAP was lacking by the time of last rework of our LDAP support.
That has changed and current PHP versions and openLDAP (or AD) now
support that. So we could revisit it now.
On the other hand LDAP always been a support nightmare, because most
admins have some SQL knowledge but no LDAP one.
Maybe it’s going to happen with improved ActiveDirectory and Univention
Corporate Server support …
