everything is in the title
Yes, a current 14.3 works with PHP 7.0, but might give certain PHP
Deprecated warnings.

Upcoming 16.1 will fully support PHP 7.0 and we work on removing all PHP
Deprecated warnings.

Recommendation is to install php-opcache and php-pecl-APCu for PHP 7.0.

Hi all

I still have problem to start Egroupware.
I install it on xUbuntu 16.04 after developers release new version.
But now, when I try to create data base I had the error: Connection with Necessary php database support for mysql (mysql.so) not loaded and can’t be loaded, exiting !!!

I had installed php-mysql.
Modules mysqlnd.so and mysqli.so are enabled and worked properly.

Any ideas what is the problem ?
Any suggestions will be helpful.

Problem was fixed in our Ubuntu/Debian packages, which had mysql
hardcode, up to the latest package one week ago.

Either you are not using latest package 14.3.20160525, or you configured
the package before and created our header.inc.php which then contains a
’db_type’ => ‘mysql’, instead ‘mysqli’;

Probably best is to:

atitude purge egroupware-epl egroupware-epl-core
rm -rf /var/lib/egroupware

Of cause only if you have not data in it.

Sure, a couple of times.
Is there any common knowledge available?
Questions is: are you only authenticating against AD/LDAP or do you want
to store EGroupware’s accounts there?

First is easy, just change configuration in setup.

Second is a little more tricky, as EGroupware uses numeric user-ids in
it’s database.
For AD with use the RID (last part of SID) for that purpose.
So you have to change EGroupware database to match the RID in your AD:

admin/admin-clip.php --change-account-id
admin-account[@domain],admin-password,from1,to1[…,fromN,toN]
Changes one or more account_id’s in the database (make a backup
before!).

It is important to do changes for all accounts with a single command, as
otherwise we can not distinguish between a row already changed to a RID
and one containing the same old account_id. For groups you prefix RID
and old account_id with a minus (-).

Where should I put the second line?
Not sure that I understand the question correct.

If you are talking about admin/admin-cli.php: It is part of admin app
and allow to script a lot of admin operations and some more not
available in our webgui. It prints a usage, if called without arguments.
From where I pasted the instructions below. All the command need to go
into one line, thought for big conversations I usually place it in a
file / shell-script where you can break it into multiple lines by ending
intermediate line with a backslash:
#!/bin/bash

cd /path/to/egroupware

admin/admin-cli.php --change-account-id
admin-account[@domain],admin-password,from1,to1[…,fromN,toN]

Please note my remarks at the end of my last mail!
