Hi Daniel,
I know it’s not as easy as rtfm, so hope this helps more:
Off course those two dir’s don’t exist, you have to set the correct
path for the dir files en the dir backup.
That path has to be changed to your on settings.
Yet, they also have to be outside your webroot, meaning:
Suppose your domain is www.mydomain.com
you use ftp to your webroot:
/home/~user/www/mydomain.com/egroupware
The dir’s files and backup must be created then on:
/home/~user/egw/files
/home/~user/egw/backup path
(
and set in your config step 2 )
Tell me what you use for ftp and I’ll be glad to help spelling the
needed path
Best regards, Remco
Hi, well, i get to this because i didn’t find any docs or post
everywhere
telling me how to install eGroupWare in Dreamhost histing services,
i’m
trying to install the svn version, but when it tries to finish the
installation it tells me this:
Step 2 - Configuration
Not Completed Your files directory ‘/var/lib/egroupware/default/
files’ does
not exist
Your backup directory ‘/var/lib/egroupware/default/backup’ does not
exist
i already contacted with dreamhost support, and the answered:
“Hmm, unfortunately those folders don’t exist and you don’t have
permissions to add them. If you can contact the support for eGroupWare
they might be abel to provide some suggestions for getting that
installed
on a shared host. If there’s anything else I can help you with, please
just let me know!”
So, how can i fix this?, thank you in advance for your answer.
