Hi David,
if you are in the addressbook list and click on view of any contact
(magnifier icon), the list is replaced with the view window (incl.
InfoLogs).
If you are anywhere else in eGroupware and click on a link to a contact,
the view window is opened with a target="_blank" in a new window.
I’m not aware that changed recently. AFAIK it’s the same behaviour since
1.2.
