Ralf, All,
I have an egw 1.6 svn install (At revision 27394) that refuses to accept the path to the backup directory. Really. It is like setup has lost its mind. All the directories are there and the directories are world readable (temporarily) and still egw setup refuses to accept /var/lib/egroupware/backup as the backup path. Specifically, I have:

I’M STUMPED, WHAT CAN BE WRONG?
I have restored a few different database backups from various installs with this egw setup on my Archlinux server, and now it just won't work.
Any ideas??
