Egroupware 1.8 to 14.1 migration failed

Hi everyone

I’ve been using Egroupware since version 1.2 and the last upgrade messed up
several things:

1- group support has been removed and registration fails: so I can’t get
the groups package
2- when setting up a new event in calendar or editing an already present
event the Partecipants, Details, Recurring, Link and history panes are empty
3- when setting up a new event in calendar or editing an already present
event the recurring event options (exception and remove exceptions) are
always visibile even when the item is not a recurring event
4- in administration when setting up privileges the select box that should
likely show users or groups is empty so I can’t assign privileges
5- eSync doesn’t seem to work either

I suspect the problem comes from 3 different “non standard” groups present
in the 1.2 Egroupware installation, but this worked good since 14 update.

Since I suspect this is not a “me only” problem, does anyone has a
suggestion for this problem?

No, if you removed our 2 standard groups “Admins” and “Default”, update
will create them again and give eg. Default run rights for mail. But
that’s all.
Since I suspect this is not a “me only” problem, does anyone has a
suggestion for this problem?
I’m afraid it is not a general problem, so you need to look in your
Apache error_log first and then in your browsers javascript console, and
post you findings here, if they don’t point you right away to the problem.

Hi and thank you for your answer

Registration fails means that the receiving egroupware page throws an error
like “Registration data ignored (or discareded I can’t remember)”.

I tried to repeat Registration but the submit button disappeared and a
message says “you registered less than 1 day ago”.

I didn’t remove any standard Group.

Very unfortunately I have no errors in apache logs.

Browser (firebug) console doesn’t show anything.

How may I check that migration was successful?

Setup says database version is correct

I really appreciate your help.

You are right about console error in firebug: it reports “too much recursion” in the new event window where all the panes are empty except the description one

The shown link is (only scrambled the domain name):

When loggin in using an admin aacount ant tryingo to add a new user privilege with the “Access Control” menuth firebug console says absolutely nothing but “Acces By” select remain empty

Apache error log says this (domain scrambled)

Line 191 says

$check = array_diff($memberships, $groups)

So it looks to me like a sort of group problem tha leads to the first idea about custom groups

The groups that are present present are those:
