I’m having a problem with EGroupware version 16.1. When I try to save an Infolog, it takes a long time to save it. This happens only when I add other users to the Infolog. I assume the problem is caused when emails are sent because when I check the option to not send emails to the others it works perfectly fine. And that happens only to me, my colleagues don’t have this problem and I also didn’t change anything at the settings.
Can anyone help me?
Does sending Mail works correct in the Mail app?
Apache error.log probably contains so information about the timed out SMTP server.

Yes, and there is also no log in the error.log file.
There is no timeout but the chrome browser shows “Page Unresponsive” and i have to press “Keep Waiting” until the request is finished and that takes like 20 to 30 seconds give or take.
So you say, sending mail take unexpected long, as well in mail app as in notifications.
Problem could be DNS, try putting the IP address or check the resolver. Of cause also the SMTP server itself could be slow …
No, just as a notification it takes to long. Only when I add some other users as responsible for the Infolog it takes a long time.
Problem Solved! I had to remove my email from my account because for some reason it was the one which was sending the notification emails. Now it is our default SMTP-Server sending the notification emails and it works perfectly fine
