Hi, I am trying the following setup: wamp + hmailserver + EGW 14.2 (latest).
Hmailserver is accessible via android phone (K9 app), Thunderbird and EGW. And now Owncloud too.
Emails are currently relayed to a SMTP service via hmailserver, which requires authentication.
I noticed that, while I can always receive emails, sending them works with K9 and with Thunderbird but not with EGW. They come back from the external SMTP service as ‘undeliverable’:
Error Type: SMTP
Remote server (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) issued an error.
hMailServer sent:
Remote server replied: 550 Invalid Mailfrom [smtp service; LIB_430]
I tried to activate the smtp debug log and the Mailfrom I see is different from what I get when I use K9 or Thunderbird. With K9/Thunderbird I see the email address of the SMTP service, while with EGW I see a Mailfrom based on the user id required to authenticate EGW to use the hmailserver application.
Are there any flags in EGW I should change in order to use the correct Mailfrom, when relaying emails ?
I also tried with Owncloud and one of the email clients available. There are some plugins in the email client that replace the user profile with the real email address and I can relay emails just fine.
These problems started with 14.2.
