Manjot,
There have only ever been two instances where I needed to directly access data in an eGW install. eGW already provides tools, interfaces and services to get at most the data very easily. The import/export module, GroupDAV, eSync, XMLRPC, and others should really be your first port of call. Have a nose at some of the links below and also look through the mailing list archive.

Best of luck,

eGroupware team,
I work with Gagan Singh & Travis Genovese from Cricket Communications. We needed Read-Only access to eGroupware DB/Tables that store Cricket’s eGroupware issues, in order to be able to write sql queries to generate automated reports. Could you please let me know the steps to get access or a contact that we should work with to get that access. I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Manjot Grewal
