Egroupware install

Hello all;
I am hoping someone can help me with an installation problem. I have installed egroupware on a windows 2008 server running iis 7, and am using mysql as the database.
I have gone through all the setup and all checks are green under the configuration screen.
When i go to the initial webpage i get HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error the page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.
I am running fast-cgi and all seems well on that end.
can someone point me in the rite direction i am starting to loose faith.

I am not a guru, so here is my two cents. When I installed egw on my windows pc, I installed xampp ( http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html) first. Made sure that was running and could access it from outside my lan. Then installed egw. Works great.

Hello Detox,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I am using IIS 7. the problem is strange but when i go to the site it seems to stop here at /egroupware/login.php?phpgw_forward=%2Findex.php but not being that savy with php i don’t know where that is putting me.
And thanks for the assistance i appreciate it greatly.

I know nothing about IIS. I can help if you install XAMMP. It provides a really nice self-contained Apache server with PHP and MySql on windows and is very user friendly and can be very secure. I have XAMMP on several windows pc’s to demo sample sites, etc.
But as far as IIS goes, I’d need to do some digging.

Hello Detox,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Unfortunately i need to stick with IIS. But i do believe i fixed the problem. After debugging php i found that the egroupware install was missing some directories. Once i replaced them I was able to get the site to come up. So hopefully there shouldn’t be anymore problems and i really appreciate all your help.
