Egw 1.8.001svn Week of Year looks off by 1

Ralf, All,

The week of year shown in the little calender control on the left looks to be

off by one. This week is shown as the 52nd week of the year. Dunno, maybe that
it correct, but it looks wrong. Screenshot here:

Hi David,

I did some research and looking up the jscalendar (javascript calendar used in EGroupware) code about week numbers:

• it supports iso8601 week numbers used in Europe
• they are only defined for weeks starting with Monday
• JSCalendar starts weeks with the day defined in EGw’s calendar preferences
• it used the first day of the week to calculate the week number
  –> gave 52th instead of 1st week for the week including 4th Jan (by iso definition the first week of the year), if NOT Monday was selected as first day of the week

This is now fixed by always using Monday to calculate the week number, independent on what day is selected as first day of the week.
Fix is commited to 1.8, EPL 10.1 and Trunk and will be included in the next maintenance release of the packages.

The US and Canada have a slightly different definition:

which is NOT supported by EGroupware/JSCalendar, thought for most years they are identical.
