Hi Lukasz,
Hi Ralf,
this morning I updated EGW from packages on my other test machine, and this time,
I was paying attention to progress [as I thought I’ve seen this happening where the
alphabet problem happened]…
but on this other machine, the alphabet problem did NOT occur.
Both machines are Debian Wheezy [current status: stable…] and updated with dist-upgrade every so often.
[…]
Looks like translations for “alphabet”, which is usually “a b c … z”,
is missing.
Dont recall there is any related change.
In my 1.8 install it is still working.
You’re sure you not just selected a language lacking that translation?
Ralf
The apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade yielded this morning:
[skip down to where egroupware upgrade happened]
Setting up egroupware (1.8.004.20130620) …
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library ‘/usr/lib/php5/20100525+lfs/suhosin.so’ - /usr/lib/php5/20100525+lfs/suhosin.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

That’s a broken PHP config or it might be normal, if suhosin does not
support command-line scripts. Anyway nothing to do with EGroupware.

PHP 4. header() /var/lib/egroupware/header.inc.php:91
Not sure why you get this warnings and stack trace (probably from
xdebug). They are from including header.inc.php (EGroupware
configuration file) trying to send a header, which cant work but does
not harm for a command-line script.
translation::install_langs(Array([0] => en), dumpold, )
This is a permanent error_log telling nothing more, that that this
function got called. I disabled it now, but that’s not your problem.
EGroupware successful updated
Looking good, thought you already said everything works on that install.
Ralf

(the install_langs stack trace looks guilty to me, but as I said, the alphabet problem did NOT happen here)
Hope this helps,
Lukasz
