eGW 14.1 - app template modification via etemplate - workflow

Hi !
We have followed the “Code corner” in order to correctly modify the
“timesheet template edit”.
After the modification (End date input Hidden) we saved it, and read it
to confirm that etemplate correctly saved it.
But when displaying the timesheet dialog the ‘End Date’ input was still
there, even after using “F5” to refresh application, even after
loging/logout. Even after flushing cash….
We checked that the template was effectly recorded in database.

After a while we found out that after modification we must click on
"export XML" wich action creates an XET file on the server.
Then the app uses this file, and only this one (it does not pick the
content in etemplate table).
Can someone confirm that ?

But we are unable to modify the timesheet.index via etemplate, when
exporting the xml content isn’t displayed as usual and file isn’t
written, and still we don’t find out why ? Can someone explain please ?

eTemplate2, does no longer use the database or the old editor.

We use an XML editor to modify the template files. They all have a dtd,
which a suitable editor can use to show you available widgets and
attributs. We use eg. Netbeans for that.
