Always frustrating…
I’ve created a running system before on Ubuntu and that gave me a big headache, but I got it running (thanks to Ralf; http://www.egroupware.org/forum#nabble-td291596 was one of the very helpful postings; my conf files are as in that posting)
Right now, I’m trying to do the same on CentOS… and it doesn t work.
eGroupWare works fine, but I am not able to login into IMAP as cyrus; the admin account.
Cyrus is an existing Linux user and in the sasl group. I tried adding an LDAP user, with and without domain name (virtual domains is enabled), added the user to sasldb using saslpasswd, but this is all I get:
[root@groupware ~]# cyradm --user cyrus --auth login localhost
IMAP Password:
Login failed: authentication failure at /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/Cyrus/IMAP/Admin.pm line 119
cyradm: cannot authenticate to server with login as cyrus
/var/log/messages sais:
Jun 20 19:49:43 groupware saslauthd[1204]: pam_ldap: ldap_search_s No such object
Jun 20 19:49:43 groupware saslauthd[1204]: do_auth : auth failure: [user=cyrus] [service=imap] [realm=] [mech=pam] [reason=PAM acct error]
And /var/log/maillog:
Jun 20 20:00:15 groupware cyrus/imap[1683]: badlogin: localhost [127.0.0.1] plaintext cyrus SASL(-13): authentication failure: checkpass failed
This is my /etc/pam.d/imap:
auth required pam_ldap.so
account required pam_ldap.so
Any hints are very welcome!
Thnx in advance
