Hi Selso,
Hello !
We are planning to post our eGW fix/features.
Actually we are working on the last (almost) download from
sourceforge. I’m wondering how eGW admin whish to have the community
participating.
I see many commits but no pull request, so I have some doubts.
We’re relativly new on Github, I think that is the reason we have not
many pull requests.
Anyway we prefer to have pull requests to master, then we can verify
your solution, pull and merge it to appropriate release branches.
Here is the guessed workflow for eGW/github :
- fork it in github (me : bizulk)
- clone and branch from 14.2 branch (ciose)
14.2 branch (14.3 version number) will only receive (major) bug or
security fixes, as we don’t have the resources to maintain multiple
branches and develop new features.
- commit and pull each app modification (with verision number
modified in setup) on the forked project
Version numbers in setup are only incremented for database schema
changes or new major versions.
- commit each new features on the forked project.
- then send a pull request on upstream.
Yeap, looking forward to your contributions
Ralf
Thanks for any explanation.
Selso.
