Hi,
We’re get the same error message very seldom during normal operation
but always a few minutes after reboot of the egw server
Server probably runs async jobs eg. notifications after reboot.
That’s the usual cause for the above error-message. Async jobs have no
sessions and therefore can not access mail accounts, which are encrypted
with a users password.
If your SMTP server requires authentication, you need a so called “SMTP
only” account, which will then be used for async notifications.
To create an SMPT only account as admin:
- open mail account wizard
- click on manual and then skip IMAP
- enter smtp server and credentials
- in edit name new account eg. “SMTP only” and mark it valid for all users
