Empty notification email

Hello

Since the update from egroupware-epl 17.1 to egroupware-docker 20.1, we have a problem with email notification following a modification of infolog.

Problem: If the infolog is opened and modified from the link in a notification email, the email sent is empty and without subject.

I have no idea where it could be. But maybe these questions will help us:

Please compare the link from the mail and the address from the edit window. Are they the same?

How does EGroupware display the (empty) email?

What does the source code of the email look like?

I do not necessarily think that this problem is a bug…

Whats is the link in the notification email you click on? Does it include the same instance and path like in EGroupware itself.
Does it make in difference if you click on the link from EGroupware Mailclient or from any external client?

We do not regularly use the Egroupware mail client but it works by its link.

i have the same problem.
EGroupware 20.1.20200901
If modified an ticket on tracker app, opened the ticket, all work fine.
If the user open and modified from the link in a notification email, and save an comment or other, the email notification is empty.
unlike version 17.1, now i have enabled html, for comments, of the tracker, i don’t know if i can help

The logs when registering the infolog (docker-compose logs -f)

1. open with egroupware mail client (correct mail):

What is the “subscribers” in egroupware-push ?

Dear Andrea,

did i understand the problem correctly, that this happens if you edit an infolog, calendar or ticket when its “called” from a notification link?

If yes, do you call it from email-application within EGroupware and it opens with the popup or do you call the link from “outside”, login and it gets displayed within the application-window?

It probably makes an difference for reproducing.

Hi Regis,

no we fixed the general issue when you clicked on an external link and edit the entry in the mail window of EGroupware and not in the popup. This was leading to an empty notification email.

This are the 2 commits which are related and part of the next release/package

fix empty notification mail, when ticket was edited by following a link in a notification mail

also run Egw::__destruct() explicit for notifications

Hello,
The latest version fixes the empty email problem.
But we have another problem with email links. Using the first link after logging opens the correct infolog but clicking on the following ones always opens the first. You have to disconnect and reconnect for it to work again but just once.
