Hi David,
just checked on my development box, backups are working.
I’ve looked at the code: the place with the error get’s only called, if
there is a valid stream resource.
No idea what goes wrong on your box.

Ralf, All:
I’m getting a new error in my syslog from egroupware regarding PHP from
egroupware. The error is:
May 2 22:48:23 archangel httpd: PHP Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument
is not a valid stream resource
in /srv/www/htdocs/egroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.db_backup.inc.php on line
433
This is on archlinux x86_64 (not that that makes a difference). What say
the devs? What else can I do or test that will get new information that
might help. Anything you want, just let me know. Thanks.
Oops,
Sorry I forgot. This is on 1.6.0.0.1 svn rev. 26928.
